These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShelfHire platform ("Platform"), operated by ShelfHire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of England and Wales. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
4.1. You must register for an account to use the Platform's services.
4.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
4.3. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
5.1. All payments are processed through Stripe. By making a Booking you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
5.2. Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable at the rate of 20%.
5.3. ShelfHire charges a Platform Fee of 30% on each Booking, deducted at the point of payment.
5.4. Refunds are subject to our Cancellation Policy outlined in Section 8.
6.1. Venues must ensure listed shelf space is accurately described, available, clean, and safe.
6.2. Venues must hold appropriate business insurance and comply with all applicable health and safety legislation.
6.3. Venues must complete identity verification through our Stripe Identity integration.
7.1. Brands must ensure products displayed comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
7.2. Brands are responsible for their own product liability insurance.
7.3. Brands must not display prohibited items including but not limited to: counterfeit goods, controlled substances, weapons, or items that infringe intellectual property rights.
8.1. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the Booking start date are eligible for a full refund minus a 5% administration fee.
8.2. Cancellations made within 7 days of the Booking start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
8.3. No refunds are available after the Booking start date.
9.1. Certain users may be required to complete identity verification via Stripe Identity.
9.2. Accepted documents in the UK: passport, driving licence.
9.3. Failure to complete verification may result in restricted access to Platform features.
10.1. The Platform and its content are owned by ShelfHire Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant ShelfHire a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such content for Platform operations.
11.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShelfHire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11.2. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12.1. Disputes shall first be addressed through our internal complaints procedure.
12.2. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12.3. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
